NRS Relief chosen as finalist for AidEx Aid Innovation Challenge
NRS Relief, proudly invites you to witness the AidEx 2014 Aid Innovation Challenge on 12th November, 13:00 PM, at the Entrance Auditorium, Brussels Expo, in which we have been chosen as one of the four finalists for this year’s competition.
The Aid Innovation Challenge aims to find the next big invention that will help those who supply aid products to developing countries around the world.
Fire Retardancy innovation
NRS Relief will be presenting the first fully Fire Retardant tents and tarpaulins to be introduced to the humanitarian community – a pioneering technological breakthrough in the history of humanitarian aid efforts. The essence of the Fire Retardancy solution is to improve the delivery of aid to refugee camps drastically, by making camps safer.
Final round
NRS Relief will compete against one Business Entry finalist and will pitch its concept to the panel of judges and live audience. There will be two winners in total (one Business entry and one Individual entry). Full list of finalists can be found here. Entries to the Aid Innovation Challenge will be judged by an expert panel of the most influential people in the humanitarian and development aid sector, including charities and NGOs, designers, engineers and suppliers of aid. The panel of judges is carefully chosen to ensure competition is impartial.
Announcement of winners
The audience will play an important role in asking finalists questions about their inventions and then the panel will have the final decision, with the winner from each category named at the show.
