NRS International joins Innovation for Crisis learning event in Jordan
NRS International recently participated in the Innovation for Crisis Learning Event (I4C), hosted by UNHCR-UNDP Regional Joint Secretariat at the Dead Sea, Jordan, on 11-12 December. The event showcased the latest innovations used for crisis response, particularly in Syria and Iraq.
It consisted of several learning sessions that bring together specialists from governments, UN agencies, NGOs, businesses and public-private partnerships, donors, and innovation experts.
At the two-day forum, we represented the full range of high quality products of NRS Relief and TANA Netting.
Mr. Charbel Matar, NRS International’s Business Development & Sales Manager for the MENA region, had the opportunity to demonstrate NRS Relief’s all-new Jerry Bucket designed for the humanitarian community.
Interactive discussions were conducted on the formation of new ideas, adaptive leadership and promotion of explorative thinking. We also joined in round tables on innovation sessions to generate new design ideas, implementation strategies, and provide the opportunity to share good practices in innovative programming.
By engaging in a ‘paradigm shift’ in the international and regional response to crises, and utilising the local knowledge of highly skilled refugee and host communities, the I4C event has successfully highlighted that working in concerted, participatory, and innovative ways can spark transformation on a larger scale in addressing future crises.
