Our impact in 2015-2016
Ongoing wars, political conflicts, earthquakes, floods and other natural disasters are causing a record-high number of people to flee their homes worldwide. An unprecedented 65.6 million people around the world have now been forced from home. Among them are nearly 22.5 million refugees, over half of whom are under the age of 18. At NRS Relief, we respond to global challenges by offering high quality and cost-effective relief products to international agencies, bilateral donors, governments and non-governmental organisations.
In 2015-2016, we supplied over six million life-improving products to 75 clients in 63 countries:
- 45, 000 family tents
- 15,000 multi-purpose tents
- 975,000 tarpaulins
- 4.2 million blankets
- 1 million water containers
- 100,000 other core relief items.
We have been an active partner during the emergency response operations after the Haiti and Ecuador earthquakes, during the Ebola crisis in West Africa, the European refugee crisis, and the ongoing humanitarian crises in the Middle East and in parts of Africa.
Globally, 95 million people used our products.
We played a significant role in the response to crises around the world and we will continue to work around the clock to assist our clients, as well as build strong public-private partnerships for effective and responsible relief operations.
