From Dihad to Dubai Humanitarian: NRS Relief’s Innovation in a Nutshell
DIHAD 2025 focused its lens on “Humanitarian Aid and Development in a Polarised World”, drawing global attention to the urgent need for sustainable solutions in humanitarian response. Rising to this challenge, NRS Relief joined the conversation with purpose, showcasing its latest innovations, including the launch of the Viva Eco Tent and a new range of eco-friendly core relief items designed with a lower environmental impact.
As a shelter sponsor, NRS Relief provided its versatile Huggy PRO HPT 72 tent, which served as the central hub for the International Emergency and Catastrophe Management (IECM) workshop. On the second day of the event, Mr. Mohammed Cherchali, Business Development & Account Manager at NRS Relief, took centre stage to deliver an insightful presentation titled “Evolution: From sustainable manufacturing to the development of eco-conscious core relief items and shelters.” His expertise shed light on the power of innovation in shaping the future of humanitarian aid, reinforcing the importance of forward-thinking design in relief efforts.
The spirit of innovation and collaboration fostered at DIHAD continued to gain momentum as Dubai Humanitarian extended an invitation to NRS Relief to participate in their conference. It was structured around five dynamic panel discussions, each delving into key areas of modern humanitarian action. Attendees actively engaged in discussions on the role of technology in emergency response, the urgency of sustainable practices, the launch of disruptive innovations, and the shifting market dynamics within the humanitarian sector.
Framed under the compelling theme “Cutting-Edge Solutions from the Private Sector”, our director, Francesca Cocozza, brought a powerful voice to the stage from a manufacturing standpoint at the Sustainable Innovative Solutions in the Humanitarian Field Conference hosted by Dubai Humanitarian. Francesca’s speech offered a forward-looking perspective on how innovation and sustainability are reshaping humanitarian aid. By spotlighting NRS Relief’s transition to greener production and smarter design, she emphasised how the sector can lead responsibly, balancing performance, sustainability, and impact.
“In an era of climate challenges and increasing humanitarian needs sustainable aid is the new standard. Emergency response and environmental responsibility must go hand in hand. For us, it is more than just manufacturing shelters — it is about honouring our commitment to both people and the planet”
