#PeaceDoves campaign for World Peace Day wins ‘Most Remarkable Campaign’ award from IHC
Our #PeaceDoves campaign for World Peace Day has been awarded the ‘Most Remarkable Campaign’ by the International Humanitarian City (IHC) during its annual members global meeting.
The #PeaceDoves initiative, which was launched successfully on 21 September 2018, World Peace Day, in collaboration with UK-based NGO Empathy Action, aimed to promote peace, address the refugee crisis, upcycle production waste and empower women in a skills amplification project.
Receiving the award from Giuseppe Saba, CEO of IHC, Wieke de Vries, Head of Communications & CSR at NRS Relief, said that the project was guided by the principles that define Sustainable Development Goal No. 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) – a global goal that we strongly embrace as a manufacturing company.
IHC is a non-profit, independent, humanitarian free-zone authority in the UAE that is comprised of members representing the United Nations agencies, international NGOs, inter-governmental organizations and private sector suppliers to the humanitarian community (of which NRS Relief represents). More than 100 members and guests from the member organizations and companies based in IHC came together to attend the annual event.
Other recognition awards that IHC distributed to its members include ‘The Most Innovative Projects for a Humanitarian Impact’ and ‘The Best Initiatives’ in both commercial company and humanitarian organization categories.
